The Archives collects materials of potential research value which provide evidence of the activities, functions and characteristics of Yale-New Haven and its related organizations. It acts as the corporate memory of Yale-New Haven Hospital and the official repository for its non-current, permanent records, and thereby a central source of historical information.
Materials collected by the Archives reflect Yale-New Haven Hospital's mission of patient care, teaching, research and community service. They illustrate the important role played by Yale-New Haven in the U.S. healthcare system and the local community. These records also provide evidence of the unique contributions made by hospital staff and physicians to the fields of medicine, nursing, allied health, biomedical research and hospital administration.
The Archives at Yale-New Haven Hospital seeks to develop a useful, comprehensive collection which provides a complete and accurate record of the history of Yale-New Haven Hospital.

The Archives are located in the lower level of the Clinic Building. Office hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm. The Archives are open to the public by appointment only.
