Ambulatory (Outpatient) Services

Yale-New Haven Hospital offers outpatient medical services including surgery, gastrointestinal procedures, radiology, and sub-acute care. These medical services, which do not require a hospital admission, are located at the main hospital and at convenient sites in the greater New Haven area. Each of these sites provides multiple services and comprehensive care for patients, from pre-screening to post-operative skilled nursing care.

Main Hospital Outpatient Services

20 York Street, New Haven

Yale-New Haven Hospital provides a wide range of outpatient services at our main campus at 20 York Street in New Haven. These services include gastrointestinal; gynecologic; cancer; and heart and vascular procedures. Your caregiver will provide you with information about your procedure, including whether or not it is available on an outpatient basis.

Yale-New Haven Hospital offers diagnostic radiology (imaging) services at the main hospital as well as at convenient locations around greater New Haven. In addition, we provide blood draw stations (laboratory medicine services) at several easy-to-reach locations in and around New Haven.

Pediatric Specialty Center at One Long Wharf

The Pediatric Specialty Center at YNHCH is located on the second floor of Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital in the West Pavilion. Children are seen for a variety of reasons -- from a one-time consultation to treatments for acute or chronic medical or surgical conditions.

The Pediatric Specialty Center at One Long Wharf is located on the second floor of One Long Wharf Drive, which includes exam rooms, as well as diagnostic imaging and rehabilitation services.

Each facility offers outpatient services with a focus on multidisciplinary care. They are staffed by YNHCH physicians, as well as nurses, child life specialists, social workers, nutritionists and others who work together to provide the specialty care needed. 


Temple Medical Center Outpatient Services

40 Temple Street and 60 Temple Street, New Haven

Temple Medical Center is a comprehensive outpatient medical center staffed by top-notch physicians and surgeons, including radiologists and anesthesiologists; nurses and other highly qualified medical personnel who receive up-to-date, ongoing training. Temple Medical Center offers modern equipment available for diagnostic and treatment procedures.

With flexible appointments to fit the needs of our patients and on-site, secure parking, Temple Medical Center is a convenient choice for ambulatory medical procedures.

Services at Temple Medical Center include endoscopy; an outpatient surgery center, diagnostic radiology and a recovery care center.


Yale-New Haven Shoreline Medical Center Outpatient Services

Yale-New Haven Shoreline Medical Center brings the advanced health care of a national academic medical center to the shoreline, with all the comforts and amenities of a community healthcare facility. The facility provides high-quality, convenient outpatient care in the shoreline area's largest, most comprehensive medical center.

YNHSMC offers ambulatory care, including diagnostic radiology, health education programs, hospital pre-admission, a blood draw station, nuclear medicine, a nutrition center, a one-day surgery center, cancer services including radiation oncology, and an emergency department that is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

At the Hamden Professional Building, Yale-New Haven Hospital provides high-quality, convenient outpatient care in the Hamden area. Patients are offered a full range of radiology, blood testing, EKG and dental outpatient medical services.
