At Veterans Day breakfast, dog tags did some of the talking
On Veterans Day, employee-veterans came out on the York Street Campus for a breakfast and on the Saint Raphael Campus for a luncheon. Carlos Lourenco, director, Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, welcomed guests to both events and collected email addresses so he could better communicate with the employee-veterans who are past or current active, reserve or guard veterans of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard. At the YSC breakfast, Michael Brenegan (left), clinical engineer, Clinical Engineering, pulled out the dog tags from his days in the U.S. Army and compared notes with Michael Borys, RN, Adult Emergency Department. Brenegan, who enlisted in 1977, served for 10 years and then served in the Army Reserve for 10 years. Borys served from 1975-1979 in the U.S. Navy, where he trained as a Navy medic.
