National Pharmacy Week Oct. 22-26
YNHH pharmacists will be staffing information tables on both campuses to publicize their work during National Pharmacy Week, Monday-Friday, October 22-26. Employees can speak with a pharmacist about their medications and receive educational materials at their information tables. On the York Street Campus, pharmacists will be on the WP2 overlook from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. each day and on the Chapel Street Campus, they will be in the cafeteria 10 a.m.-2 p.m. each day.
Employee and Family Resources presents mini-talks reducing stress
Employee and Family Resources will present mini-talks on how mini-breaks can reduce stress. The 20-minute talks will be held on both campuses. Registration is not needed.York Street Campus — Room CH 201: Friday, October 26: 11:30 a.m., noon or 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 30: 2:30, 3 or 3:30 p.m. Chapel Street Campus — cafeteria conference room: Thursday, November 1: 11:30 a.m., noon or 12:30 p.m.
Hands and Bands champions will be out in force on Oct. 23
Hands and Bands champions will greet employees outside entrances on the York Street and Chapel Street campuses to raise awareness of hand hygiene and checking patient identification bands. On Tuesday, Oct. 23, they will hand out bottles of hand sanitizer and stickers. The times and locations are:

2-4 p.m. McGivney Cancer Center
6-8 p.m. George Street
York Street Campus:
6-8 a.m. York Street, Smilow
7:30-9 a.m. Dana and Hunter

During the day, champions will also visit Shoreline Medical Center, Long Wharf, Yale-New Haven Psychiatric Hospital and Temple Medical Center. Chapel Street Campus staff who would like to volunteer should email Lori Hubbard, RN.
HR to hold employee career fair Saturday, Oct. 27
Human Resources will hold a career exploration information session for employees on Saturday, October 27, 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m., in Max Taffel, across from the York Street cafeteria exit. Employees who are seeking information about general and clinical college programs should consider attending. Employees from both campuses are invited.
