Caregivers celebrated on both campuses, Nov. 12 and 15

Patient care associates, clinical technicians, EDTAs, ER technicians, medical assistants, Diagnostic Radiology technical associates and Radiology technical assistants will be recognized with celebrations on both campuses during the week of November 12. The annual celebration will take place on Monday, November 12, 1-3 p.m. in the Park Street Auditorium. On Thursday, November 15, celebrations for each campus will take place. Printing services moves to centralized site

After a competitive bid process, Yale New Haven Health System has awarded WorkflowOne — a national print management service experienced in working with healthcare organizations — a contract to provide printing services to its three hospitals and Northeast Medical Group. The new off-site service will reduce printing costs and maintain a high level of customer service and efficiency. WorkflowOne will provide print, copy and document services, including forms, business cards, envelopes and labels. Most employees who are frequent users of printing services have already received WorkflowOne training. Employees who want to order documents from the new center must have a user ID and password in order to access WorkflowOne's online print shop site. Photo ID hours on Saint Raphael Campus

The hours of Saint Raphael Campus Photo ID Office have changed. The new hours are: Monday-Wednesday and Friday: 8 a.m-4 p.m.; Thursday: 7 a.m.-7 p.m.; and Saturday: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The Photo ID Office is located in the McGivney Cancer Center building first floor.

Service Excellence conference rescheduled for Monday, Nov. 19

Due to Hurricane Sandy, the 2012 Yale New Haven Health System Service Excellence Conference has been rescheduled. It will be held on Monday, Nov. 19 at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington. Registration and breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m.; the program begins at 9:30. Employees may register through Employee Self Service. For those who were registered to attend the Oct. 29 event, their registration will automatically be moved to the Nov. 19 date. If employees were registered for Oct. 29 and cannot attend on Nov. 19, they should go into ESS and withdraw from the conference. Intercampus shuttle now operates 24/7

For the convenience of staff members traveling between the two campuses of Yale-New Haven Hospital, the intercampus shuttle now runs 24 hours/day, seven days/week. The intercampus shuttle bus operates to and from the stop at York and Cedar to the McGivney Cancer Center stop on the SRC. Mutual Respect thankful for Thanksgiving donations

The Mutual Respect Committee (MRC) has organized a Thanksgiving food drive which will run through Monday, Nov. 19. Employees may place non-perishable food items in the collection boxes located on both the York Street and Chapel Street campuses. YNHH Phototherapy Center moves to 46 Prince St.

The hospital's Phototherapy Center has moved from its location in the Hunter Building at 15 York Street to 46 Prince St., Suite 109. The center offers narrow-band UVA and UVB light treatment for a variety of skin conditions, including dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, scleroderma and vitiligo. The center treats infants, children and adults. The facility offers new equipment, private treatment rooms and free parking.
