Financial fair scheduled for June 11-14

The hospital's annual financial fair will be held June 11-14 in three locations. The fair helps employees learn more about the financial programs the hospital offers. Representatives from financial instituions will answer questions. Benefits staff will also be available to answer questions about thel Cash Account Pension Plan personal statement that employees will receive at home before the fair.

  • Tuesday, June 11, 10:30 a.m.-noon, at Medical Center South
  • Wednesday, June 12, 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m., York Street Campus, 2nd floor Atrium, West Pavilion
  • Thursday, June 13, 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m., York Street Campus, 2nd floor Atrium, West Pavilion
  • Friday, June 14, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., YNH Shoreline Medical Center, conference room 1412.

A financial fair will be held on the Saint Raphael Campus in July after the launch of Epic. In the meantime, employees may attend any fair or call the Benefits office at 688-2401 with questions.

YNHH's 2012 annual report is now online

The 2012 YNHH annual report is now live on the hospital web site. Called Journey to a Healthier Tomorrow, the report focuses on the integration of Yale-New Haven Hospital and the Hospital of Saint Raphael, and includes a year-end message with the highlights of 2012, lists of the hospital's leadership, medical staff and donors, and YNHH's 2012 financial and statistical information.

Cancer survivor celebration on June 12, 55 Park Street

In celebration of National Cancer Survivors' Day, Yale Cancer Center and Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven will host a special program for cancer survivors and their families on Wednesday, June 12, at 55 Park Street. Registration for the event begins at 4:30 p.m. in the second floor auditorium, followed by hors d'oeuvres and the program, 5-6:30 p.m. Moderated by Thomas Lynch, Jr., MD, director of Yale Cancer Center and physician-in-chief of Smilow Cancer Hospital, the program will include a discussion of "Transitions and Transformations" with a panel of cancer survivors. A special performance of Closer to Free by The Fairfield County Children's Choir and presentations of Closer to Free interviews will follow the panel discussion. Notes at Noon concerts begin Friday, June 14

Notes at Noon, the summer music concert series sponsored by the Yale-New Haven Hospital Auxiliary, will host its annual summertime concert series for the 27th time this year. Beginning on Friday, June 14, this year's concerts feature artists new to Notes at Noon, as well as some returning favorites. The concerts take place at noon in the Hunter Courtyard on the York Street Campus. The concerts offer exceptional outdoor lunchtime entertainment on four Fridays in June and July. Concerts run from noon to 1 p.m. This year's line-up includes:

  • June 14: The Steve Atwood Band, classic rock and country
  • June 28: Cosmic Jibaros, Latin rock band
  • July 12: Frank Viele & Group, acoustic funk
  • July 26: 102nd Army National Guard Band
