During their national week, patient transporters celebrate successful year
In its first year of integration, the more than 130 patient transporters in Patient Transport on both campuses safely made more than 480,000 transports. During National Patient Transport Week, they celebrated their achievements with an awards ceremony, lunches, bowling and basketball. Another highlight was the half-day massage session for all transporters held on the York Street Campus. Shown in the Patient Transport office are transporters who took advantage of the free massage. Seated is Torsche Clark, patient transporter on YSC, surrounded by patient transporters (l-r): Tyrone Little, SRC; Jermaine Lewis, SRC; Troy Winfrey, YSC; and Robert Davis, YSC. Three of the men wear the embroidered jackets that transporters received from the hospital during Patient Transport Week.
