Grimes Center refurbishes rehabilitation suites
Yale New Haven Health System's Grimes Center recently celebrated the opening of 10 newly private, renovated rooms. The Grimes Center is a 114-bed adult rehabilitation center adjacent to the Saint Raphael Campus. The refurbished rooms are larger and can accommodate a visitor who wants to spend the night with the patient.
On hand for the ribbon-cutting for the renovated units were, from left, Richard D'Aquila, president and COO; Gary Friedlaender, MD, chief of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation; Gerard Kerins, MD, geriatrician; Gayle Capozzalo, executive vice president, Yale New Haven Health System; Sister Ann Matthew, parish nurse coordinator; and John Tarutis, executive director, Grimes Center.
