YNHH hosting 12th annual Take Your Child to Work Day

Yale-New Haven's 12th annual Take Your Child to Work (TYCTW) Day will be Thursday, April 24 on the York Street and Saint Raphael campuses. Registration forms for each location will be available Tuesday, April 1 through Friday, April 18 on the YNHH and SRC intranet sites. The event is limited to YNHH employees' children between ages 8 and 14. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.

On the YSC, TYCTW day will have two sessions: 8:30 am - noon and 1 - 4:30 pm. The SRC will also hold two sessions: 8:30 - 11:30 am and 1 - 4 pm. Parents may apply for either session on either campus for their child.

During last year's TYCTW Day, Winifred Cue, ITS communications associate, Technology and Operations, enjoyed time with her 9-year-old son Devin as he visited her after touring various hospital departments with his student group.

Employees, health system honored for Epic achievement

Employees, health system honored for Epic achievement

On Feb. 26, employees involved in the system-wide Epic implementation received a heartfelt and well-deserved thanks from Epic for all their hard work; and Yale New Haven Health System received a rebate check for $526,100. The thank you and check were part of Epic's Good Install award, presented to organizations that have met numerous criteria for successful Epic implementation.

"It's called the ‘Good Install' award, but I want to congratulate you on having a great install," Matt Schaefer, implementation manager, Epic, told a large group of employees from throughout the system who gathered at the Information Technology Services office at 99 Hawley Lane, Stratford. Employees were particularly touched by the large thank-you card made and signed by Epic employees who worked with YNHHS. Schaefer, left, presented the card and check to, from left, Lisa Stump, vice president, Epic Project and associate chief information officer; Marna Borgstrom, YNHHS president and CEO; and Daniel Barchi, senior vice president, Technology Services and chief information officer.
