Newsmakers Molly Leber, PharmD, elected director-at-large of national group The American Society of Healthsystem Pharmacists (ASHP) has elected Molly Leber, PharmD, clinical pharmacy coordinator, one of two directors-at-large for ASHP's section of Inpatient Care Practitioners. In this position, she will make recommendations and help implement policy changes to advance and improve pharmacy practice at the national level. Leber joined YNHH 10 years ago. She serves as the clinical advisor to the hospital's Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and is the clinical coordinator for the Yale New Haven Health System's Formulary Integration Committee. She earned her BS in pharmacy, BS in human biology and PharmD degrees from the University of Montana. The American College of Clinical Pharmacy elects Eric Tichy fellow The American College of Clinical Pharmacy has elected Eric Tichy, PharmD, one of its fellows. Tichy, who joined YNHH in 2001 as a pharmacy resident, is the senior clinical pharmacy specialist who works primarily for the hospital's Transplant Program. Tichy was named a fellow for his significant contributions to the practice of pharmacy, especially in the area of solid organ transplantation. He is chair of the American Society of Transplantation's Transplant Pharmacy Community of Practice and serves on the board of directors of the Connecticut Society of Health-System Pharmacists. At YNHH, Tichy developed a postgraduate training program for residents in transplantation pharmacy. In 2010, he was named a YNHH Service Excellence Hero. Tichy earned his BS in pharmacy and his PharmD at the University of Connecticut.
