Newsmakers Frank Claudio, director, Radiation Oncology Frank Claudio, director, Radiation Oncology Frank Claudio, MBA, MSM, has been named the director of Radiation Oncology for Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven. He will oversee the Smilow Cancer Hospital Radiation Oncology Centers across the state. Before YNHH, Claudio was vice president of operations at Alliance Oncology, where he helped develop and manage the company's radiation oncology centers. He began his career in electrical engineering working for United Technologies as a senior design engineer before transitioning to health care in 1993. He has worked in oncology for 20 years, serving in clinical, technical and managerial roles in both radiation and medical oncology. Claudio attended the University of Hartford where he earned his bachelor's degree in electronic engineering and Albertus Magnus College, where he earned both his MBA and MSM.
