Newsmakers Kimberly Mule, director System Business Office Kimberly Mule, associate director of the System Business Office (SBO), has been named director of SBO. In this position, she is responsible for the entire cash operation of Yale New Haven Health System. Mule began her career with YNHHS in 1992 as a trainer responsible for ensuring that employees were able to perform duties at a high level. In 1995, her responsibilities expanded to include the Bridgeport Hospital billing operation and the following year, she was promoted to senior billing manager. In 2008, she was made associate director of SBO. She has played a major role in the implementations of Epic that included accounts receivable operations for the three system hospitals. Mule earned her bachelor's degree in economics at the University of Connecticut and a master's in healthcare management from the University of New Haven. Gita Dabrila-Sullivan named manager, Service Response Center Gita Dabrila-Sullivan, formerly manager of the Room Service Call Center, has been promoted to manager of the Service Response Center. The Service Response Center, which operates 24/7, responds to calls from both campuses on a wide range of services. The 13 representatives who work in the SRC handle calls that include engineering needs, central dispatch, bed orders, telephone repairs and catering and room reservations. The SRC number is 688-9000. Dabrila-Sullivan, a registered dietitian, started with Yale-New Haven in 1993 as a dietetic intern. In 1994, she became a food service supervisor in Food and Nutrition and in 1996, became operations manager in Patient Food Services. In 2005, Dabrila- Sullivan was promoted to room service coordinator involved in planning and implementing the room service program and managing the Room Service Call Center. Dabrila-Sullivan earned her BS degree in nutritional science at the University of New Hampshire. Steven Vyce, DPM, chief of Podiatric Surgery and Medicine, a new department Steven Vyce, DPM, assistant clinical professor in Yale's department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, has been recruited to be chief of Podiatric Surgery and Medicine, a new department formerly part of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation. He is responsible for credentialing and re-credentialing department members, overseeing the development and direction of the YNHH inpatient and ambulatory Podiatry services and developing a podiatric foot and ankle surgery practice as part of the Saint Raphael Campus Musculoskeletal Center. Dr. Vyce is certified in both foot surgery and reconstructive rear foot/ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Since 2007, he has led the Podiatry section at the West Haven VA and, in 2008, was appointed program director of the Yale Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program. Dr. Vyce is a graduate of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and was a resident and chief resident in podiatric surgery at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
