Francine LoRusso, RN, MHA, executive director, Heart and Vascular Patient Care Services
Francine LoRusso, RN, MHA, has been named executive director, Heart and Vascular Patient Care Services. With the integration of the Hospital of Saint Raphael and the Cardiology Associates of New Haven physician practice, the Heart and Vascular service line now includes more than 150 inpatient beds, 20 interventional laboratories and 11 outpatient satellites, making it one of the largest and most comprehensive heart and vascular programs in New England.
LoRusso, who has been with YNHH more than 31 years, started her career as a staff nurse in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Most recently, she served as nursing director for Heart and Vascular Services. In addition to her current responsibilities, LoRusso will be responsible for all nursing, imaging and cardiac rehabilitation outpatient operations, including the new YNHH Transitional Care Center in the Yale Physicians Building. LoRusso has also assumed responsibility for the hospital's inpatient and outpatient Organ Transplantation Program operations. LoRusso earned her BSN and MHA at Quinnipiac University.
Brooke Spadaccino, RN, named interim PSM, Musculoskeletal Center Unit
Brooke Spadaccino, RN, BSN, has been named the interim patient service manager for the new Musculoskeletal Center Unit on Verdi 4 North on the Saint Raphael Campus. The 17-bed unit opens in the second quarter of FY14 and will complement the current orthopedic unit on Verdi 3 South.
Spadaccino began her career at YNHH in 1997 as a student nurse on the Orthopedics Unit (7-7). She received her BSN from Southern Connecticut State University and is currently enrolled in the MSN program at Sacred Heart University. She is a certified orthopedic nurse who has been the assistant PSM on 7-7 for eight years. She is a member of the WorkSmart Committee and has participated on many quality and safety initiatives throughout the hospital and the health system.
Brian LeClerc, associate director, web and social media strategy
Brian LeClerc has joined the Marketing and Communications Department at Yale New Haven Health System as associate director, Web and Social Media Strategy. As the lead digital marketing strategist for the health system, he oversees all external web properties, mobile sites, social media, blogs, and search engine optimization and analytics efforts.
LeClerc joins YNHHS from United Technologies' Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation where he most recently served as creative director of multimedia services in the global company's corporate marketing and communications office. He is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University and earned an MS in interactive communications at Quinnipiac University and an MBA at Northeastern University.
