Cancer treatment
may include surgery, chemotherapy
or radiation therapy used
alone or in combination to provide the maximum benefit to patients.
Staging the disease is the
first step in determining an individualized treatment plan. Treatments include hormone
therapy, gamma knife,
and bone marrow and stem
cell transplants. Learn about breast
conservation surgery and reconstruction. Research
programs and clinical trials
offered through the Yale
Cancer Center bring promising treatments to patients before
they reach the marketplace.
We're growing! We have expanded some of our medical oncology services to a second location on the sixth floor of One Long Wharf Drive in New Haven. If you have any questions regarding your appointment schedule or location, please call 866-YALECANCER or (203) 785-4191. For more information about this second location, click here.

Many side
effects from cancer or its treatment, such as pain, nausea,
fatigue and depression, can be prevented, reduced or eliminated
through medical interventions. Don't suffer needlessly. Patients
should notify their doctors or care providers so symptoms can be
relieved. |
