Venous Disease

Yale-New Haven Hospital offers the latest technologies for the treatment of venous disorders and vein removal. The Center provides a tranquil setting, duplex ultrasound diagnosis and an office-based ambulatory setting for most procedures.
Minimally invasive treatments include compression, VNUS ClosureR, laser therapy and sclerotherapy, for the treatment of the entire range of venous reflux disorders from large painful varicose veins to unsightly spider veins.
Our vascular surgeons specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of more severe venous disorders, such as chronic venous stasis, thrombophlebitis, deep venous thrombosis, chronic venous occlusion, vena cava tumors and venous aneurysms. In addition to surgical treatment, we offer the most innovative endovascular procedures, including percutaneous angioplasty (PTA) and stenting, catheter-directed thrombolysis and percutaneous devices for vena cava filtration.
