Since 1984, the Yale-New Haven Heart Transplantation Program has performed more than 250 heart transplants. The program’s multidisciplinary team provides advanced therapies for patients awaiting a transplant, including pharmacologic and device therapies.
Novacor Implant
YNHH has been among the largest volume implantation center in the world for the "work horse" artificial heart device, Novacor. This artificial heart device successfully supported one YNHH patient for four years, until he received a transplant.
The Jarvik 2000
