The most comprehensive listing of clinical trials can
be found at www.clinicaltrials.gov.
The site is sponsored by the National Library of Medicine and offers readers
the chance to search for clinical trials either by condition or by the
trials sponsor. Listings also indicate whether a trial is closed
or still recruiting patients.
Be sure you understand the pros and cons of entering
a clinical trial. Be a discriminating shopper when it comes to information
and watch for bias. For information about the importance of clinical trials
and how they work, see: Treating
Cancer at Yale-New Haven HospitalClinical Trials.
