Community Health Services

Yale-New Haven Hospital's Department of Community Health is dedicated to the highest quality patient and family-centered health care. We provide comprehensive services for acute and chronic medical problems as well as preventive care.

The Community Gives to Us

Volunteers

Established in 1933, Yale-New Haven Hospital has one of the oldest organized hospital volunteer programs in the country. The hospital's 1,500 volunteers contribute more than 122,000 hours of service annually.

Auxiliary

For more than 55 years, the Yale-New Haven Hospital Auxiliary has been an important arm of the hospital, dedicated to supporting its missions, contributing funds and raising awareness of health issues in the greater New Haven community.
