Children's champions: Support for Yale-New Haven Children's HospitalYale-New Haven Children's Hospital was itself a breakthrough because, until the 1990s, children's hospitals were rare. Treating a child is different from treating an adult, and the family of a sick or injured child behaves very differently from the family of an adult patient. Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital opened in 1993, offering families the special expertise, training, experience and equipment children require. In recognition of more than 10 years of service to the community, we are seeking the help of children's champions--individuals, corporations, volunteers, and organizations willing to support the mission and vision of the Children's Hospital as we continue to make critical advancements in the field of pediatric medicine.
