Holiday Giving
Making a donation to Yale-New Haven Hospital (YNHH) or Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital (YNHCH), is a wonderful way to capture the true meaning of the holiday season. With your help, we can provide patients with all of the ingredients for a happier holiday.
The information below provides opportunities for individuals or groups to donate items on the Wish List or make a monetary donation.
How to be a part of holiday giving at YNHH or YNHCH
There are a number of ways you can be a part of holiday giving at YNHH or YNHCH:

Monetary Donations
Monetary donations can be made the following ways:

Wish List Donations
Wish List items can be donated by following these simple steps:
- Print the Donation Form
- Complete all requested information on the donation form
- Be sure you followed the Wish List Guidelines
- Bring the completed donation form with you at your designated drop off time and location to YNHH or YNHCH with your donation
- All donated items must be new and unwrapped

Wish List Guidelines
Print the guidelines
Following infection control guidelines is critical in a hospital setting. To protect our patients, we can only accept new items.
When purchasing for our patients, please be aware that we cannot accept the following:
- Used toys and stuffed animals
- Toys stuffed with shredded foam, small pellets or beans. Look for items with fabric or solid foam
- Toys with small or detachable parts (such as button eyes) that could be removed and swallowed or inhaled
- Electrical, spark-producing or friction-producing toys
- Video tapes in VHS format
- Music tapes/cassettes
- Fragile toys that can break into small pieces with sharp edges
- Toys made of glass or brittle plastic
- Toys with sharp edges or protrusions
- Toys or craft kits with toxic or lead-based paints, latex or glues
- Toys with parts that can pinch fingers or pull hair
- Humorous medical toys and games (such as Operation), as these may arouse fear and cause misconceptions
- Toy guns, WWE or WWF products (wrestling) and other violent toys
- Latex or rubber balloons or toys that are made of these substances
Please note: We do accept Mylar™ balloons.
All donated items must be new and unwrapped.
