When Carol Sirot perceived a need at Yale-New Haven Shoreline Medical Center in Guilford, she didn't hesitate to address it. Thanks to her generous donation, patients will be treated more quickly and with greater privacy.

Giving with a Plan

In 1997, Fred M. Bering had a triple bypass heart surgery performed by Dr. John A. Elefteriades at YNHH. During the surgery, he developed a connection to the staff. So, when Bering sold his house, he decided to give some of the money to support the work of Elefteriades, who now runs the Center for Aortic Aneurymsms at the hospital.
