Our Mission
Overall, the GME Office and House Staff Office help ensure exemplary training programs for our residents and fellows. We serve as the Ombudsman's Office for trainees in specialty and subspecialty programs, as well as the Training Program Liaison for the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
The House Staff Office serves as the personnel and payroll office for residents and fellows receiving paychecks from Yale-New Haven Hospital. GME Office Director Rosemarie L. Fisher, MD, through the various Program Directors, will verify training, licensing and loan deferment forms for the subspecialty fellows who are paid through Yale University.
Residents and fellows wishing to speak directly with Dr. Fisher should contact Deborah Lewis. Any concerns regarding interactions with other trainees, medical staff or health professionals, or patient care should be addressed with Dr. Fisher. Questions concerning visas should be direct to Heather Russell-Milici.
