Lower Extremity Endovascular Intervention

Yale-New Haven Hospital provides multidisciplinary treatment to preserve limb function and prevent foot and leg amputations for patients with diabetes mellitus.

When a patient's leg is threatened with major amputation because of severe vascular disease, it is important to diagnose and treat the foot wound quickly and appropriately. The goal is always to preserve the limb, allow a patient to use it once again, and to prevent recurrence.
