Emergency Department
YNHSMC has a full-service
emergency department that cares for adults and children who have a wide range of emergency illnesses and injuries. Our department is staffed with board-certified emergency medicine physicians, as well as experienced nurses, technicians and other providers. The department is supported by the on-site services of diagnostic radiology and laboratory medicine.

Diagnostic Radiology
Diagnostic Radiology at Shoreline Medical Center offers a full range of diagnostic radiology services, including CT scanning, ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), fluoroscopy, diagnostic X-ray, bone density and digital mammography. Same-day appointments and evening hours are available for patient convenience.
Health Education Programs
Each spring and fall, Yale-New Haven Hospital offers a series of health talks at Shoreline Medical Center. These programs are free and open to the public.
Hospital Pre-Admission Office
The Yale-New Haven Hospital pre-admission office at Shoreline Medical Center offers pre-admission and maternity registration for planned admissions to YNHH, as well as financial counseling, help with billing questions and general information about YNHH services.
Laboratory Medicine/Blood Tests
The
laboratory medicine/blood draw station at YNHSMC provides convenient blood-drawing services for patients in the area. Many tests are performed on-site thus providing quicker access to results for the ordering physician. All major insurances, laboratory requisitions or referrals from your physicians are accepted without an appointment.
Maternity Programs
The YNHSMC location of
WELL/A Mother's Place offers a five-week childbirth preparation course, a total pregnancy fitness class, AfterDance exercise for mom and baby, and a breastfeeding couple's class.
Nuclear Medicine
The YNHSMC nuclear medicine service offers scans of various organs such as the bone, liver, kidneys and the gastrointestinal system, as well as advanced imaging techniques for diagnosis of cancer, infections, osteomyelitis, neuro-endocrine tumors, hepatic hemangiomas and other conditions. Nutrition Center

Radiation Oncology
The YNHSMC radiation oncology center, in affiliation with
Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven and the National Cancer Institute-designated
Yale Cancer Center, provides convenient care for patients who are in need of daily radiation therapy. Support groups are also available at this location.
Shoreline Surgery Center

Shoreline Surgery Center provides one-day surgery, pain management, endoscopy and gastrointestinal services.
