Gastrointestinal (GI) Treatment

treatment

At Yale-New Haven Hospital, we bring together a wide variety of disciplines to help patients deal with every aspect of gastroenterology. Our specialists are experienced in the fields of acid reflux, motility, endoscopy and surgery. The close relationship between Yale-New Haven’s departments of diagnostic imaging, pathology and surgery also enables us to use specialized techniques for diagnosing and treating even the most complex disorders.

In 2007 and 2008, U.S. News & World Report named Yale-New Haven Hospital to its Honor Roll as one of the nation’s top hospitals, according to its annual “America’s Best Hospitals” rankings. In addition, YNHH was ranked among the very best in the nation in gastrointestinal disorders.

Adult and adolescent patients requiring endoscopic and other GI procedures to evaluate symptoms and laboratory abnormalities suggestive of digestive disorders are seen in the Gastrointestinal Procedure Center, 203.688.5458. For common GI symptoms such as bloating, heartburn and difficulty swallowing that go unexplained despite routine testing and treatment, call the Gastrointestinal Motility Program at Yale-New Haven Hospital, 203.785.4138.
