NEW HAVEN — April 9, 2010 — Connecticut Magazine recently named 192 Yale-New Haven Hospital (YNHH) physicians among the best in the state in its 11th annual "Top Doctors" issue. The YNHH doctors, who provide a wide range of specialties, were among 757 doctors throughout the state selected from the results of a questionnaire sent to 5,000 Connecticut physicians and then combined with Connecticut Magazine's surveys from 2007-2009.
Spanning 25 areas of expertise, from allergy & immunology to urology, the "top docs" issue serves as a guide for patients seeking the best in medical care.
"We're proud to receive this recognition by Connecticut Magazine," said Peter N. Herbert, MD, chief of staff at Yale-New Haven Hospital. "The fact that almost 25 percent of the top physicians in the state are affiliated with Yale-New Haven Hospital is an indicator of the high level of expertise and quality of care our medical staff provides on a daily basis."
