Benefits fair Nov. 6-9 will help employees make choices for 2013

Employees will continue to choose their 2013 benefits online during open enrollment Monday, October 29 through Friday, November 16 by going to

Like last year, all benefits-eligible employees must go online and enroll or their coverage will default with a "tobacco usage" surcharge of $10/pay period to the medical plan. Changes to dental coverage are not allowed this year as open enrollment for dental is limited to even plan years. In addition, employees must certify that their dependents continue to be eligible for healthcare coverage in 2013.

While enrolling for benefits, employees should also verify that their life insurance beneficiaries for group term life are correct.

Employees may enroll by using their pc at work or home or by using one of the kiosks located around the YNHH campus. Additional assistance with online enrollment will be provided to employees on both campuses. Details will be announced on the YNHH Intranet.

The Benefits Office is again sponsoring a benefits fair where employees can get more information. Representatives from Anthem, CVS Caremark, Delta Dental, Vision Service Plan, Crosby Benefit Systems, Fidelity Investments, Marsh Voluntary Benefits, ActiveHealth, YNHH Employee & Family Resources Program and the YNHH Fitness Center will be on hand to answer questions.

Employees will receive a personalized open enrollment kit at their homes in advance of the fair days which are:

Tuesday, November 6
Medical Center South: 10:30 a.m.-noon
Shoreline Medical Center: 1-3 p.m.
Thursday, November 8
York Street Campus, 2nd floor Atrium:
7:30 a.m.- 2 p.m.
Wednesday, November 7
Hawley Lane Office: 8:30-10:30 a.m.
York Street Campus, 2nd floor Atrium: 11:30 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Friday, November 9
Grimes Center: 9-11 a.m.
Chapel Street Campus, cafeteria conf. room: noon-4 p.m.


All benefits-eligible employees must go online and elect their benefits for 2013 by Friday, November 16.
