General Diagnostic RadiologyGeneral diagnostic radiology encompasses imaging of extremities, the chest and the abdomen. It also includes fluoroscopy exams, such as barium enemas and upper GI series, and other procedures that involve the injection of radiographic contrast. General diagnostic radiology procedures at Yale-New Haven Hospital can be performed on patients who have been admitted to the hospital, patients who enter through the emergency department or on an outpatient basis.
NOTE - - All radiology exams and procedures are performed by prescription only. A written physician's order is required in order to schedule an appointment. Appointments are available from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on the half hour, Monday through Friday.
