Yale-New Haven Listed Among America's Best Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report
Yale-New Haven Hospital again has been recognized as among the nation's top hospitals in the seventh annual listing of America's Best Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report.
Yale-New Haven was ranked in 11 of 17 specialties as having one of the highest quality clinical programs in the nation, based on an evaluation of medical data and reputation, according to U.S. News & World Report in its July 28 edition, which will be available on newsstands Monday, July 21. Yale-New Haven was cited for its programs in AIDS, cancer, cardiology, gastroenterology, geriatrics, gynecology, otolaryngology, psychiatry, pulmonary disease, rheumatology and urology.
"While it is encouraging to be recognized on a national level for the quality of care we provide over a wide spectrum of services," noted Edwin C. Cadman, MD, chief of staff at Yale-New Haven Hospital, "the methodology U.S. News employs cannot capture the depth of excellence available to our patients."
Yale-New Haven is the only hospital in Connecticut listed in the U.S. News ranking.
