Good Housekeeping Lists Four from
Yale-New Haven as Best Doctors for Women

Four Yale-New Haven Hospital and Yale School of Medicine physicians are included among the "Best Doctors for Women" in the U.S. published in the August edition of Good Housekeeping magazine.

The physicians included in the Good Housekeeping listing are Frederick Naftolin, M.D., chief of obstetrics and gynecology at YNHH and chairman of the department of obstetrics and gynecology at Yale University School of Medicine; Peter E. Schwartz, M.D., chief of gynecology/oncology and assistant chief of obstetrics and gynecology; Joshua A. Copel, M.D., chief of maternal/fetal medicine; and David Olive, M.D., chief of reproductive endocrinology. Each physician also holds the rank of professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the Yale School of Medicine.

The magazine asked more than 260 department chairs and section chiefs in obstetrics and gynecology at major medical centers across the country to name the leading doctors in their field. The doctors could not include anyone at their own institutions. From the 1,500 doctors named, Good Housekeeping editors included the 400 doctors listed most often.

The recognition of the Yale-New Haven/Yale School of Medicine doctors follows the inclusion of gynecology services at YNHH as part of U.S. News & World Report's annual listing of the best hospitals in the country.
