"The balancing act that is performed each day by working mothers is remarkable," said Lisa Benenson, editor-in-chief of Working Mother magazine, in making the award presentations. "The future holds great things and unlimited promise for working mothers as these honored companies on this year's Best 100 list understand the importance of adopting to the changes in the workplace. We know people have a life outside of the office, and striking a balance between the two is now more challenging than ever." Yale-New Haven Hospital was selected as one of the Best 100 Companies by Working Mother magazine having demonstrated creative and proactive ways to meet the challenges faced by working parents. Yale-New Haven Hospital was the only Connecticut hospital to be selected for this honor, and one of only a handful of Connecticut-based companies to be so honored.
