Yale-New Haven Hospital news release Yale-New Haven Hospital offers conference on oncology nursingNEW HAVEN Yale-New Haven Hospital is presenting the Seventh Annual Oncology Nursing Conference on Saturday, October 4, from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Omni Hotel in New Haven. The title of this year's conference is "Challenges in adult oncology nursing practice." Conference topics include genetic testing, palliative care, oral chemotherapy, herbal medicines and nutritional supplements. The conference keynote speaker is author and inspirational facilitator Delorese Ambrose, who will present "From the inside out: Making peace with your work in a change-weary world." The conference, which offers continuing education credits, is open to registered nurses throughout the state who care for adult cancer patients in any practice setting. The cost is $75, which includes breakfast, lunch and a syllabus. Registration is required.
