Daytime drama star visits YNHH
Colleen Zenk Pinter, long time Redding resident and star of the daytime drama, "As the World Turns," was recently the guest speaker at a dinner hosted by Yale-New Haven Hospital to celebrate construction progress of the new Smilow Cancer Hospital. Zenk Pinter is an oral cancer survivor and spoke about her personal experience and the expert care she received at YNHH. She is pictured here with one of her treating physicians, Yung Son, MD, a radiation oncologist who also spoke at the event.
Yale-New Haven Hospital is a 944-bed, not-for-profit hospital serving as the primary teaching hospital for the Yale School of Medicine. Yale-New Haven was founded as the fourth voluntary hospital in the U.S. in 1826 and today, the hospital complex includes Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital and Yale-New Haven Psychiatric Hospital, with a combined medical staff of about 2,400 university and community physicians practicing in more than 100 specialties.
