NEW HAVEN   Mark Marieb, MD, has been named clinical director of electrophysiology at Yale-New Haven Hospital and associate professor at Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Marieb has an established reputation and is recognized in the field for specializing in diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders and employing the latest electrophysiologic therapies. In his new role, Dr. Marieb will coordinate the expansion of Yale-New Haven’s clinical electrophysiology program working collaboratively with the team of electrophysiologists at YNHH in developing a nationally premier program dedicated to patient care.

Yale-New Haven’s electrophysiology and arrhythmia’s multidisciplinary care team provide a full range of electrophysiology services for patients with rhythm disorders. Procedures are performed in dedicated state-of-the-art labs that include robotic technology and 3-dimensional mapping, with ablation therapy for ventricular and supraventricular tachycardia, as well as implantable defibrillators, pacemakers and resynchronization devices.

Dr. Marieb received his B.A. and medical degree from Boston University and served his residency in internal medicine at YNHH where he was selected as a chief resident and instructor at Yale School of Medicine. He completed his training in cardiology and electrophysiology at YNHH. Dr. Marieb is board certified in cardiac electrophysiology, cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. He and his family reside in Orange.
