About our programs
Welcome to Yale-New Haven Transplantation Center, a combined resource of Yale-New Haven Hospital and Yale School of Medicine. We provide comprehensive, expert and compassionate care for people throughout the world who are candidates for organ transplantation.
Organ transplantation is one of the most spectacular medical advances of the 20th century and has become an effective treatment for people with organ failure.
Yale-New Haven Transplantation Center performs the following transplants: liver, kidney, pancreas and heart. Pre-transplant evaluation, education for patients and their family members, and listing for transplantation are all completed at our center in an expedited manner. We provide our patients with a dedicated outpatient treatment center and inpatient service where our specialists are located.
At YNHTC, a combined surgical-medical inpatient floor has been established. This floor, named after renowned Yale physician Gerald Klatskin, MD, is where world-class physicians and surgeons work together in order to serve our patients in the best possible fashion.
We hope this Web site will answer some of your questions about the transplantation process, the experts who care for transplant patients, what to expect after an organ transplant, and more.
If you have further questions about organ transplantation, we invite you to speak directly with one of our transplant coordinators by calling toll-free 866.YALE.TXP (866.925.3897). Or if you have a question related to adult or pediatric liver or kidney transplants, or adult pancreas transplants, please submit your question to our medical staff. All questions will be answered within one business day.
