Patients at Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital benefit from highly skilled specialty physicians and nurses who offer emergency treatment for the full range of illness and injury, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We also have an outstanding support staff of social workers, emergency room technicians, Child Life specialists, and foreign language interpreters.

Emergency Medicine

Patients have access to experts in all areas of pediatric subspecialties including pediatric emergency medicine, toxicology and critical care. Many of the team members are renowned in fields of medical simulation, bedside ultrasound, disaster preparedness, injury prevention, toxicology, medical education and medical informatics.

Comprehensive emergency services are available for an array of emergency conditions including:
