The Friends work to create creative solutions for the social, emotional and physical health challenges that are faced by children today while focusing on four areas:
Advocate
Function as advocates for children, focusing attention on their health and safety needs as well as on the education of families and children related to health and safety issues
Involve
Expand community involvement in and awareness of child health issues
Initiate
Initiate new programs and projects that respond to social, physical and emotional health issues in children and provide support to Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital in its continued pursuit of these goals.
Support
Support the efforts of pediatric faculty at the Yale School of Medicine and the Yale Child Health Research Center.
