Pediatric Dentistry Center

Preventive, comprehensive and urgent dental care for children up to 16 years of age, with particular emphasis on treatment of children with special dentistry needs. Clinic staff are also trained to treat children who have severe disabilities.

Arrangements for children's oral surgery, periodontic (gums) and endodontic (root canal) care are also available.

The center aims to develop partnerships with patients, their families and schools to teach children the importance of good oral health care, which is essential for overall health and well-being.

• Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Facilities and staff

This state-of-the-art facility is equipped with:

• Digital radiography
• Computerized chairside patient record keeping
• Six fully outfitted treatment rooms
• X-ray facilities
• Dental laboratory space

Our staff of pediatric dentistry specialists includes attending faculty pediatric dentists at Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital and other dental specialists skilled in treating the dental problems of children. Full-time residents in dentistry cover the Pediatric Emergency Department in off-hours.

Financial

The center is focused on serving the needs of underserved children in the Greater New Haven community, but all children are welcome. Convenient payment arrangements are available upon request. We participate in most major dental reimbursement plans, including Husky. If you have questions about paying for care, please call (203) 688-3000.

Parking and directions

The Pediatric Dentistry Center is located at 860 Howard Avenue, directly across from the Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital. Parking is provided at the center.
