Prescription Assistance (340 B) Program
At Yale New Haven Hospital, we believe in helping people afford the medication they need to stay healthy.
Yale New Haven Hospital offers a Prescription Assistance Program, also known as 340B, designed to help patients who have little or no health insurance or no pharmacy benefits.
This program offers qualifying patients a discount on their prescription medications. The discount varies for each prescription and the biggest discounts are for generic drugs.
This discount program is only for qualifying YNHH patients on prescriptions written or called in by YNHH providers. The discount may also apply to some over-the-counter medications if a YNHH provider prescribes them. In addition, the discount may apply to some asthma and diabetes supplies, if the prescription was written by a YNHH provider.
