welcome from borgstrom

This is an exciting time at Yale New Haven, as demand for our clinical services and recognition of the exceptional care we provide has never been stronger. Ranked among the best hospitals in the nation, YNHH offers a broad range of services, from primary care to solid organ transplantation. We collaborate with our colleagues at Yale School of Medicine to provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered care and advance knowledge through clinical research and innovation.

In 2010, we completed the opening of the 500,000-square-foot, state-of-the art Smilow Cancer Hospital, integrating outpatient and inpatient care and clinical trials. The first-floor breast care center includes mammography, ultrasound and MRI to support rapid diagnosis and care planning, as well as the first intra-operative MRI neurosurgical suite in North America.

Our pediatric programs have been ranked among the best across five specialties by U.S. News & World Report, and we are an international referral center for minimally invasive thyroid surgery. Whatever your interest, you will find leading programs and exceptional physicians within our walls. As part of the growing Yale New Haven Health System, which includes hospitals in Greenwich and Bridgeport, the opportunities for post-graduate work are plentiful.

Outside of those walls, Yale New Haven has built a well-deserved reputation as an exceptional community partner. Our commitment to providing support for healthcare, educational and housing initiatives throughout the city of New Haven is profound.

I think you will find New Haven to be a vibrant city with incredible opportunities for living, socializing and engaging. I invite you to learn more about Yale New Haven so you can better understand the remarkable momentum that is building here in Connecticut.
