Sleep Center

Clinicians at Yale-New Haven Hospital's sleep center evaluate, diagnose and treat sleep disorders.The sleep center program physicians are board-certified in pediatrics, pediatric pulmonology and sleep medicine. As an accredited member center of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the program offers a coordinated approach to the management of a variety of sleep disorders and related conditions.

At Yale-New Haven Hospital, our physicians are board certified in sleep medicine, internal medicine and pulmonary diseases; and as an interdisciplinary program, they work closely with specialists in otolaryngology, neurology, cardiology, psychology, dentistry, and bariatric surgery.

The Sleep Disorders Center is composed of internationally known experts in the field who provide comprehensive diagnostic and treatment modalities for a wide spectrum of sleep disorders.

  • Parasomnias, such as sleep walking and talking, abnormal behavior during sleep

The Sleep Disorder Center at Yale-New Haven Hospital is staffed by highly trained, board-certified sleep specialists as well as registered polysomnographic technicians, offering the highest quality of care.


Research and innovations

The clinicians at the Sleep Disorder Center are at the forefront of research on cardiovascular and stroke complications of sleep apnea; and the ways of reducing the risk of thee conditions. Our physicians were the first to demonstrate that sleep apnea causes stroke and diabetes; and how appropriate treatment can lower the risk.
