Dr. Kamraan Madhani is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. He completed residency training and was Chief Medical Resident at Yale New Haven Medical Center-Waterbury Hospital program in 2016 and 2017, respectively. He subsequently joined the core faculty of the Yale-Waterbury Internal Medicine Residency Program. In addition, he serves as an Assistant Professor at the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University. Currently he is practicing outpatient primary care with an emphasis on obesity medicine.
Current areas of interest include the role of primary care in the evaluation and treatment of Hepatitis C (HCV). In 2017 he launched a dedicated curriculum, including a specialty HCV Clinic, at Waterbury Hospital, with the goal of improving the quality and accessibility of HCV related care and curative therapy while training resident physicians in the management of chronic HCV. In addition, Dr. Madhani has completed extensive training in the field of obesity medicine, and took the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) board examination in 2021.
