Babar Khokhar, MD, MBA; Liz Fletcher, RN, DNP; Kelly Howe, RN, DNP; Gini Neglia, RN, MSN


Babar Khokhar, MD, MBA, has been named chief ambulatory medical officer, Yale New Haven Health and Yale Medicine. In this new position, he leads and coordinates medical services at YNHHS and Yale Medicine ambulatory locations. Dr. Khokhar is also the associate dean for Clinical Transformation at Yale School of Medicine; chief clinical transformation officer at Yale Medicine; and vice chair for operations in Neurology at Yale School of Medicine. He earned his MD and MBA from Tufts University School of Medicine; completed his residency at YNHH; and completed a fellowship in neuromuscular medicine at the Veterans Administration/Yale School of Medicine.

Heart and Vascular Center appointments announced

Liz Fletcher, RN, DNP, has been named executive director, Heart and Vascular Center (HVC) at Yale New Haven Hospital. She joined YNHH in 1983 and has held a number of clinical nurse and nursing leadership positions, including patient services manager and practice manager, HVC Procedures Area; HVC Ambulatory clinical program director; and, most recently, director, HVC Ambulatory. Fletcher earned her BSN from Jacksonville University, and her MSN and doctor of nursing practice degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing.

Kelly Howe, RN, DNP, has been named HVC regional director, responsible for locations throughout Yale New Haven Health System, along with Cardiac Imaging Services. She joined Yale New Haven Hospital in 2000 and has held a number of clinical nurse and nursing leadership positions, including clinical manager of a General Medicine/Pulmonary Stepdown unit, patient services manager of the HVC Cardiac Medical – Surgical unit (SP 5-3) and, most recently, HVC integration program administrator. Howe earned her BSN and doctor of nursing practice at Quinnipiac College, and her master’s in health administration from the University of New Haven.

Gini Neglia, RN, MSN, has been named executive director, Yale New Haven Health Heart and Vascular Center (Care Signature). Since joining Yale New Haven Health 23 years ago, Neglia has held a variety of clinical nurse and nursing leadership positions, including performance management coordinator, director for Cardiovascular Services and Patient Care Services at Bridgeport Hospital and, most recently, director of HVC for YNHHS. Neglia earned her MSN and MBA from Fairfield University and is currently enrolled in a DNP leadership program.
