Pharmacy residency programs accredited
The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) recently accredited all 12 of Yale New Haven Health’s Pharmacy Residency Programs. Accreditation is the result of an enormous effort by residents, preceptors and leaders in the two PGY1 programs, at Bridgeport and Yale New Haven hospitals; and 10 PGY2 residency programs, which cover Ambulatory, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, health system administration, Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry and Solid Organ Transplant. The non-profit, non-governmental ASHP has been accrediting pharmacy residencies since 1962.
