William H. Nealon, MD
William H. Nealon, MD, has been named clinical chief and executive director of Perioperative Services, YNHH, effective April 1. In this new role, he will provide clinical leadership for perioperative operations at the York Street and Saint Raphael campuses and Temple Surgical Center. Dr. Nealon is currently vice chairman of the Department of Surgery and associate surgeon-in-chief at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, where he has served as executive medical director of Perioperative Services. He has extensive experience in process, operations, supply chain concepts and capacity management related to perioperative services. Dr. Nealon has an international reputation as an expert in pancreatic surgery. He earned his medical degree from Jefferson University Medical College, and completed his general surgery residency training at NYU Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital, as well as postdoctoral research in pancreatico-biliary diseases at the University of Texas, Galveston.
