YNHH presents Martin Luther King Jr. award

Congratulations to Ashley Cardenas, a senior at New Haven’s Wilbur Cross High School, who received Yale New Haven Hospital’s Martin Luther King Jr. Community Service Award. In addition to achieving academic excellence, Cardenas is active in the community, volunteering at the hospital, soccer leagues, Yale University’s Girls Science Investigation and the New Haven Police Activity League camp. Cardenas’ family members joined her for the Jan. 29 award presentation at Yale New Haven Health’s Institute for Excellence (IFE).
