Me and My Baby Program

The Me and My Baby Program offers prenatal care for uninsured pregnant women and pediatric care to children up to age 5. Services include prenatal and pediatric care, health education, care coordination and prescription drug coverage.

Me and My Baby provides access to maternity care for working women. Our outreach efforts help women get care, screening and detection early, and provides information about early prenatal treatment. Yale-New Haven Hospital is the only hospital in the New Haven area to offer free pregnancy testing and counseling by a registered nurse.

Breastfeeding: Heritage and Pride Program

The Breastfeeding Heritage and Pride Program seeks to improve breastfeeding rates among low-income women, through training and peer-counseling.

Women from the community who have successfully breastfed are trained to provide education and support to others who are interested in breastfeeding. The program provides a comprehensive model of home, community and hospital-based breastfeeding promotion and support.

Healthy Start

Healthy Start is a program designed for uninsured pregnant women and offers free medical care, labor, delivery, nursing care, medications, counseling and other related services.

This program provides support to pregnant women and children to age 2, including outreach, counseling and case management of clinical care.

Project MotherCare services is an innovative project to help improve access to healthcare to women and children. Patients are seen on a first come first served basis. Please have a copy of your child's immunization record for all WIC and physical visits.
