COVID-19 tent

Westerly, RI (April 6, 2020) – Westerly Hospital has set up a triage tent outside the emergency department’s entrance to screen patients who might have symptoms of COVID-19. Patients who present with other emergent issues and non-COVID-19 symptoms will continue to use the hospital’s main entrance.

Westerly Hospital is taking these extra measures in separating possible COVID-19 patients to further protect our community and colleagues. Please also remember that if you feel ill, call your healthcare provider before coming to the hospital. Many people with COVID-19 can be safely cared for at home. If you think you may have been exposed or if you have symptoms you can also call the Yale New Haven Health Call Center at 833-ASK-YNHH (833-275-9644) 7 days a week, 7 am - 7 pm.

A tent has also been set up in the back of the hospital campus to screen healthcare workers who might have symptoms of COVID-19.
