Overview

At Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital, our dedicated team of Yale Medicine plastic surgeons, pediatric specialists, advanced practice providers, and nurses is committed to improving the lives of children. Whether treating congenital conditions, acquired anomalies, or traumatic injuries, our experts deliver the most advanced, safe, and effective surgical care tailored to each child’s unique needs.

We incorporate the latest medical technologies and surgical techniques to ensure the highest standards of care, always with a focus on your child’s comfort and development. Our multidisciplinary approach includes specialists in pediatric anesthesia, child life services, physical therapy, psychology, and speech-language pathology. We also work closely with other surgical teams, including pediatric neurosurgery, pediatric ENT, and pulmonary and sleep medicine, to provide truly comprehensive care.

Our Yale School of Medicine physicians are also leaders in pediatric plastic surgery research and innovation. In collaboration with the Yale Child Study Center, they have studied the long-term neurocognitive outcomes of children with craniosynostosis. Moreover, our craniofacial team through the Yale School of Medicine identified a novel gene associated with non-syndromic craniosynostosis. Technically, our team utilizes cutting-edge three-dimensional virtual surgical planning for precision in the operating room. Recently, our team performed the first custom mandibular distractor procedure for a neonatal patient in the state of Connecticut.
