Seven pediatric subspecialties achieve national recognition
New Haven, CT (September 15, 2026) – Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital (YNHCH) has again been ranked as the #1 children’s hospital in Connecticut and #2 in New England. YNHCH also earned national recognition in seven pediatric specialties, including Diabetes and Endocrinology (#19), Gastroenterology and GI Surgery (#26), Orthopedics (#34), Neonatology (#37), Nephrology (#46), Pulmonology and Lung Surgery (#50). It’s also listed among the top 50 in Pediatric and Adolescent Behavioral Health.

The rankings also reflect the depth of pediatric expertise across Yale New Haven Health, with national recognition spanning a broad range of specialties and services that support children with both routine and highly complex healthcare needs.

In addition to its primary campus in New Haven, YNHCH has a secondary inpatient campus at Bridgeport Hospital and a network of eight integrated Pediatric Specialty Centers, providing access to more than 35 pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties across the region.

Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital (YNHCH) offers Connecticut’s largest and most comprehensive array of pediatric services.
